A Facial Oil That Works For Oily Skin...

For a long time, having oily and spot-prone skin was my nemesis, until somebody enlightened me with the fact that oilier skins are slower to age - always look on the bright side, eh? Not only that, but from  months of treating my skin properly and taking care of it I realised that my skin wasn't so oily after all and it was in fact combination and dehydrated.

Nevertheless, I am still blessed with the oily T-Zone that we all love to hate. As consumers we are constantly told to cleanse the oil from our skin and are often sold stripping products that simply encourage oil production and have the reverse effect. From experience, I have learnt that a little oil doesn't do any harm and is in fact great for balancing oily skin and also adding some much needed hydration back in to it!

The *Rose Hydrate Miracle Makeover Facial Oil Super Facialist by Una Brennan is a product that really does work miracles when it comes to hydrating the skin. Take a closer look...

This facial oil is different from any other I have used. Both for it's texture and it's application method. I was sceptical at first as it's directions stated 'Use as a pre cleanse' which instantly made my ears prick up. I would usually use a facial oil as a leave on product to fully penetrate the skin. However, with this beauty you simply pump two pumps, massage it into your face, use a warm flannel to take off the excess then follow with your usual cleanser - crazy right? But, there is method to the madness.

You are left with hydrated skin, a glowing complexion and a perfect base for make-up. It's texture isn't thick like your regular facial oil, it is very much a 'sinkable' consistency which makes applying a cleanser afterwards very easy and fuss-free.

How my skin felt - with this product, you will see visible results the following day. My facial redness around my nose and chin had been highly reduced and I felt that the few spots I did have felt a little less 'angry' (if spots had emotions of course)! Also, which was a major plus for me, was that it offered instant hydration to my skin and relieved that tight feeling that we all get in the morning once we have cleansed. This product truly dodged that and has become a staple in my morning routine.

Key ingredients include avocado oil for deep nourishment, rose oil to help reduce redness and lavandin oil to calm the skin. It retails at £9.99 and is available from www.boots.com.
