As a nude fanatic (may sound a tad wrong, nevertheless...) I am always on the hunt for the perfect nude nail varnish to polish off any outfit/look. Consequently, I have been lusting after the Nailc Inc polish in 'Porchester Square' for many months now, but have never plucked up the courage to purchase it for myself - as it has a steep price of £14.
However, I possibly have the best boss *ex-boss* in the world and she donated me this polish with many other beauty gems (stay tuned for future blog posts).
So, here it is - the infamous 'Porchester Square'
It certainly does live up to its reputation, delivering the perfect nude shade with the perfect shine and perfect long lasting effects, what more could you ask for? I guess an excuse to wear a nude polish (if you need one) would be that its coming into Autumn/Winter therefore colours are generally more muted. Any how, this polish is the perfect pairing for any outfit and really adds that essence of sophistication.
As you can see, it isn't a conventional nude yet most definitely delivers as one. Most 'nudes' out there have a pinky undertone yet this is more grey toned with a hint of taupe, which I believe is more flattering - especially if you're pale skinned and cannot get away with a traditional nude that washes you out.
However, if you're a student like me, and spending £14 on a nail polish is a bit ridiculous for your current budget, then no fear there are always fabulous dupes out there.
For example...
- Barry M Nail Paint in 'Almond' £2.99
- Topshop Nail Polish in 'Barefoot' (Appears more pink in the bottle) £5
- Essie Polish in 'Jazz' £7.99
So, if you're like me and have been hunting for the perfect nude nail polish then maybe you're willing to splash the extra cash on the infamous 'Porchester Square.'
Thanks for popping by x
